The rule
Only use a real person's face, voice or name in VisoLab if you have that person's permission, or the law lets you use it without it. This applies to photos you upload, character references, voice samples and prompts that name or describe a real person.
What you need
- Consent. Permission from each person who is identifiable in what you upload or ask us to make. For commercial use, get a signed release, and keep it.
- Your own likeness. You may use your own face and voice.
- Children. Don't upload images or voices of children unless you are their parent or guardian or have that person's written permission, and never in a sexual or harmful context.
- No identification. Don't use VisoLab to identify or verify who someone is.
What is never allowed
- Sexual or intimate content of a real person without their consent. If this happened to you, ask us to remove it.
- Voice clones or deepfakes made to deceive, defraud, defame or harass.
- Content that misleads people about what a candidate, official or public body said or did.
- Using someone's likeness to suggest they endorse something when they don't.
See the Acceptable Use Policy for the full list.
Labelling AI content
If you publish realistic synthetic media of real people or events, label it as AI-generated wherever the law or the platform requires. Some places, including the EU, require this.
When you download a PNG or JPEG image from VisoLab, we add a "Made with AI" note to the file's metadata. We don't yet add this to video or audio files, and metadata can be removed by other tools, so don't rely on it alone.
If your likeness is used without permission
Email support@visolab.io with a link to the content and how to reach you. We review it and may remove the content and act on the account. For intimate imagery, use the removal form, and we act within 48 hours.
