Prompts that sell products
What to put in the first sentence so the model locks onto the SKU.

Weak prompts describe a vibe. Strong product prompts name a physical object. Lead with what someone would hold in their hand, then add light and place.
A pattern that works
“A [material] [product] with [distinctive detail], [placement], [light], [camera], [mood], [genre].” Example: “A frosted glass dropper bottle with a pale gold cap resting on wet travertine, soft sculpted light, long gentle shadow, luxury skincare photograph.”
- Name materials: kraft, frosted glass, brushed steel, heavyweight cotton.
- Name the light: soft window, hard rim, overcast, single kicker.
- Name the crop: 1:1 packshot, 4:5 feed, 9:16 story, 16:9 billboard.
- Say what to avoid in the negative prompt: logos, extra fingers, cartoon.
FAQ
- Should I mention the brand name?
- Usually no. Unbranded products are safer and more reusable. Add your real mark later in Edit or design tools.
- How long should a prompt be?
- Long enough to fix the object and the light. Two or three sentences beat a paragraph of adjectives.
